Concrete Details

Concrete that starts below the surface

Good concrete is not just the day of the pour. We look at slope, drainage, base depth, reinforcement, access, thickness, and finish before the truck arrives so your driveway, patio, slab, or foundation is set up to last through Wichita freeze-thaw cycles.

FAQ

Concrete Questions

How thick should concrete be?+

Residential driveways are typically 4 inches with rebar; areas with truck traffic or heavy equipment get 5–6 inches. Patios and sidewalks are usually 4 inches. We size it to the actual use.

How long before I can drive on it?+

Foot traffic is fine after 24–48 hours. We recommend waiting 7 days for vehicles and at least 28 days before heavy loads like RVs or trailers.

Do you install rebar?+

Yes — every driveway, slab, and structural pour we do is reinforced with rebar or mesh sized for the application, tied and chaired off the subgrade.

Do you pour patios and driveways?+

Yes — patios, driveways, garage pads, sidewalks, RV pads, and stamped or decorative concrete throughout the Wichita metro.
